The six steps to becoming a Christian:
Step One -- God Loves You
You can know God loves you. The Bible tells us:
"For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."

Step Two -- God Has a Purpose for Your Life
He wants you to have a full, meaningful life now:
"I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10
He wants you to have eternal life in Heaven:
"The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
-- Romans 6:23b
Step Three -- God Knows our Need
We are all sinners by nature and choice:
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
-- Romans 3:23
We cannot save ourselves:
"Not by works, so that no one can boast."
-- Ephesians 2:9
We deserve death and Hell:
"The wages of sin is death."
-- Romans 6:23a
Step Four -- God Meets our Need Through Jesus Christ
Jesus dies for you on the cross:
"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death."
-- I Peter 3:18
Jesus paid the price for your sin:
"But God commanded His love toward us even while we still sinners; and Christ died for us. Much more then, being now made right by His blood, we shall be saved."
-- Romans 5:8-9
Step Five -- God Wants You to be Saved Today
Repentance is turning to God and away from sin:
"Repent and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out."
-- Acts 3:19
Believing means to trust what Jesus did for you:
"For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through Faith."
-- Ephesians 2:8
Surrender to Jesus today as your Saviour and Lord:
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
-- Romans 10:9-10
Step Six -- Pray to God Now
- Ask Him to forgive you of your sin.
- Tell Him you believe Jesus died for you.
- Ask Jesus to come into your life to save you.
